*Germs: The Other Side of the Story

organpics
Most people have heard of Louis Pasteur. He is often called the founder of the Germ Theory of Medicine. He invented the process of pasteurization. However, what most people don't know is that  the Germ Theory of Medicine was at least 100 years older than Pasteur. In fact, much of his work was plagiarized and totally unscientific. Despite his experiments that supposedly proved this theory was correct, it had many flaws. Pasteur himself even declared before he died that the germ theory was all wrong and indicated: that it's the terrain, not the germ, that matters most. For some reason, this part of history often gets left out.

Antoine Béchamp and Claude Bernard (two men who don't often get credit for their valuable work) have shown that the terrain is what determines the state of the body and which so called "germs" are present. To keep matters simple, I will provide you with an analogy: Flies don't cause garbage, it's the other way around. Leave garbage around and you will have flies around. So, put garbage in your body, you will have putrefactive germs around. The germs occasion, not cause the condition. In fact, germs will actually change based on their environmnet (This phenomenon is often called plemorphism). So, this means a bacteria can become a virus, or a fungus, or parasite, etc. based on what environment it's in.

So, this also means, change the "terrain" or environment, and change the state of the body!

In the words of Dr. Arthur C Guyton MD, who wrote the Textbook of Medical Physiology (once used in most medical schools):

"The first steps in maintaining health is to alkalize the body ( pH or acid/alkaline balance). This is one of the most important aspects of homeostasis. Changes in pH alter virtually all body functions."

The pH of the body is one important aspect of a healthy terrain.

How does one change the terrain of the body? Simply put: By living in harmony with nature (following a healthy lifestyle). Health comes from healthful living (as opposed to drugs)! Things in the world keep changing, BUT this health premise doesn't!

I've worked with hundreds of patients and clients over the last 15 years and what I've found is that basic health principles do not change.

Germs are not the enemy. There are more germs in your body than cells. If they were the true enemy, you would be dead 10x over already. Germs serve an important purpose. Attacking them with drugs is not the answer. If you are not feeling well, look within instead. Look at your current way of doing things. The answer to "curing" your body can usually be found in diet and lifestyle changes.

*A Good Raw Food Recipe Resource

fruit bowl

People are constantly asking me for good raw food recipes that not only taste good, but can help make one feel good in the long run as well. All too often, many raw food recipes look and taste appealing, but leave one feeling not so great. I've met someone recently in Costa Rica who has developed a good raw food recipes resource. His name is Chris Kendall. Go here for 2 FREE recipes and to learn more about this resource>>> Raw Advantage

*Q & A with Dr. SAM

Dr. SAM-new bio pic

Question: A.W. asks: "I've been getting PT for my shoulder. Is it normal to have increased pain and swelling after getting therapy?"

Answer: There is a difference between common and normal. Is it common for this to occur in PT? Yes. However, is it normal?" No. You should not have to recover from an injury twice (once from the injury itself, and then again from the treatment for it). This is an illogical approach to healing. Of course, people are often told that having increased pain and swelling is a "normal" healing response. In my opinion, true therapy does not create the need for more healing, it lessens it.

Thanks for your question.
